Story
Congratulations to Rohan for designing “SASSV”
&
being part of the upcoming
MoonBattle Conference 2024 in Milpitas, Silicon Valley
This project aims to use an ultrasonic sensor to accurately measure distance, velocity, and acceleration of an object. The ultrasonic sensor emits high-frequency sound waves and measures the time taken for the waves to bounce off an object and come back. By finding the change in distance over time, the velocity and acceleration of the object can also be calculated.
If you like Rohan’s project, support “SASSV” by sharing and liking it.
The main objectives of this project are to:
- Design and build an ultrasonic sensor system that can measure: distance, velocity, and acceleration
- find potential real world uses of the system
- Market
UltraSonic Vests utilize cutting-edge technology to enhance the safety of highway police officers and traffic guards. These vests with the UltraSonic systems are designed to provide area awareness, beyond detection, such as, approaching velocity and direction. Improving the safety of traffic personnel working in unsafe conditions.
Key Features and Benefits of UltraSonic vests:
- Ultrasonic Sensors: Built-in ultrasonic sensors continuously emit high-frequency sound waves to detect and measure the distance to nearby objects. Strategic placement of multiple sensors on the vest provides a 360-degree field of view, allowing the wearer to be aware of approaching vehicles, pedestrians, or other hazards.
- Vibration Feedback: The vest incorporates vibrations technology to alert the wearer of potential risks. When an object comes within a close range, the vest vibrates at the location pointing to the direction of the object. This feedback helps the wearer quickly find out and take actions that are needed.
- Enhanced Visibility: In addition to ultrasonic sensors, the UltraSonic Vests are equipped with reflective stripes and LED lights in accordance with the safety. These features increase the wearer’s visibility during night, making them more obvious to drivers and reducing the risk of accidents.
Story
This project has a range of applications, including but not limited to:
- UltraSonic Vests (for use of highway police and traffic guards)
- Autonomous cars (Car safety and collision avoidance)
- Vision impaired area awareness
